RothbergDubrow and Crossroads Treatment Centers entered into an exclusive agreement to secure multiple sites in New Jersey for the company’s expansion in this market. Crossroads Treatment Centers specializes in outpatient opiate addiction treatment and has dozens of locations throughout the United States. Using Medication Assisted Treatment, the CDC’s preferred method of drug treatment, Crossroads utilizes medication to decrease withdrawal symptoms while having a team of counselors, nurses, and more help create a path to recovery that includes relapse prevention tactics.
Between 2015 and 2017, 45 new treatment centers have opened in the Philadelphia region, making Southeast Pennsylvania an increasingly saturated market. However, in New Jersey in 2016, there were 8 and 13 times more deaths relating to heroin and synthetic opiates than in 2010, respectively – much higher than both the Pennsylvania and national rates. Due to a high growth in opiate abuse clearly lying beyond the Philadelphia area, Crossroads chose to open all five of their new treatment centers within New Jersey. Upon identifying specific communities of need that could best benefit from treatment centers, RothbergDubrow worked closely with Crossroads to identify properties, negotiate lease terms, strategize and prepare for community zoning meetings and secure leases in Neptune City, Williamstown, Woodbury Heights, Toms River, and Pennsauken.
